Kerry's project a focus on human rights

Kerry posted her request for help with her site and since i've seen not comments i'd like to invite people to look seriously at her Scarybirds project and how they may be able to help.

Although it uses sci-fi and fantasy elements to tell the stories, it is a brilliant approach to how art can be used in the healing process of former victims of violence.

The rain pounded harder and as others ran indoors for cover she was being called out. Undetected she slithered and pounced, defying the laws of gravity that ruled mere mortals who refused to see what not pleasing to their eyes.

She had been summoned by the cries of the unheard, dejected, and abused who refused to become like those who committed injustices and crimes against them, taking advantage of the guiltless. Some might call it insanity what has emerged as the Grimoire of the Immortal Egos but like much of reality it is the opposite of what it appears.

Mortals trapped in a reality that denied them justice, dignity, safety, and so no longer content to wait for others to give them what was their divine right they slipped…one by one into the dream world where their Immortal Egos can reign without fear of consequence.

Perhaps you've heard of children that have been abused and create an alternate ego that experiences the trauma that scars them and they believe that they are elsewhere. This other place is one that rises out of the open misty shadows where unspeakable transgressions are perpetuated and amplified by the millions.

You know it is not uncommon for victims to create stronger more powerful alter egos who can protect them and maybe spare others the burdensome torment they have suffered. For you to deny them this right to be, to express our truth, is to commit the crimes all over again because in so doing you deny our right to find peace and restored honor.

I became involved because i immediately saw what Kerry was doing and offering as art therapy and the marketing research she has done shows that it appeals to a broad demographic.

What IF Kerry's project could get the support it needed? Right now that just means getting site funtioning properly and some poster sponsorships to generate funding for this fledgling creative talent agency.

The Scarybirds website in need of some assistance is a site where projects can be developed and Kerry is intersted in helping talented artist collaborate to develop Immortal Ego projects that can be distributed and promoted on the web. The ideas range from screen savers and games to promote posters and films.

The commercial potential is significant and the humanitarian and creative value is priceless. There is a place for many expressions of art and many voices, FOSS ICT can play a vital role in art as a healing force that does not deny the paradox of reality in the quest for peace. The seeking of illumination does not mean the shadow is to be ignored.

Once we have the Cultural Fusion TV4Humanity project ready i look forward to hosting one of the first Scarybirds Premiers. Fully implemented the Scarybirds site opens up an art agency community that can serve a much greater purpose. We have program plans ready to be developed with sponsors, community arts organizations, and artists.

How can you help?

thanks for posting that, I wasnt expecting to find any help here, but thought I would be a bit optimistic. Got a few meetings on monday with a woman in Edinburgh who forms projects called Rebel Alliances and basically they are an underground network of people who actually do stuff and organise events etc.

At the moment Susan is working with a guy called Hugh who created a site called Machinima where you can create your animations at a much cheaper cost than a hollywood studio, so she is going to introduce me to him, so looking forward to that, also Mel Young who owns New Consumer Magazine and runs the Homeless World Cup is trying to figure a way to help me get the funds to print the posters, hes in Denmark just now but comes back today. I am kind of done with the networking on sites as its not really done me any good.
