iFOSSF is a 100% volunteer-based organization with limited operating and project funds, our governance and program directions are set by the following key people:
Founder, Chair of the Board
Jenny helps organizations to advance their social, economic and ecosystem development agenda by cultivating cross-sector collaboration with a focus on open standards and open source.
Prior to iFOSSF, Jenny was with AT&T Standards and Industry Alliances Group as a Strategy Group Lead and Solution Architect for 20 years. In this capacity, Jenny was AT&T’s principal representative to several industry consortia focusing on standardizing next-generation infrastructure, operations, service delivery technologies and business practices to achieve rapid service innovation, superior customer experience and enhanced business agility.
Having worked extensively with industry’s top talents in the private sector, Jenny is particularly interested in contributing at the grassroots level. She believes that the solutions to humanity’s most pressing issues require global interventions that harness good ideas from the grassroots level and effectively transform them into practical solutions.
Board Member, Adviser
Michel is the founder of Foundation for Peer-to-Peer Alternatives and works in collaboration with a global group of researchers in the exploration of peer production, governance, and property.
He has been an analyst for the United States Information Agency, knowledge manager for British Petroleum where he created one of the first virtual information centers, eBusiness Strategy Manager for Belgacom, as well as an internet entrepreneur in his home country of Belgium.
Michel has authored a number of essays, including his seminal thesis - The Political Economy of Peer Production. His recent work is concentrated on the new 'open' and 'distributed' infrastructures for making and producing physical things, the work is featured in TEDx Brussels and many other well known international conferences.
Board Member, Secretary
Neil is the Founder of several online business networks such as the Digital Scotland and Cloud Best Practices Network (CBPN) with a focus on peer-to-peer based learning, entrepreneurship development and business consultation on new and emerging technologies. All his work are rooted with deep passion in meaningful social and public sector reform enabled by technologies.
Neil serves as the secretary of iFOSSF and applies SEED Framework principles into his business networks.
Board Member, Treasurer
Linda has extensive financial and IT program/project management and client relationship experience with proven track record in leading domestic and global teams to deliver high quality results on time and on budget. With her superb organizational, analytical and problem-solving skills, Linda is a trusted team player, resourceful and well sought mentor for new team members.
Within iFOSSF, Linda serves as a treasurer.
